Noreen McBride

Safeguarding Consultant

Noreen is a highly experienced and qualified social worker working to support the EQUISS team with significant safeguarding issues. Noreen is also an independent specialist risk assessor working with sexual and violent offenders.

With a career spanning almost 30 years, developing frontline practice into managed services as well as taking on leadership and strategic advisory roles. Noreen brings extensive experience in child protection, risk assessment and management, and multi-agency collaboration.

Noreen is a huge asset to the EQUISS team, having worked across statutory, voluntary and independent sectors, supporting organisations to strengthen their safeguarding frameworks for children and vulnerable adults. Noreen is passionate about creating safer environments for children and is committed to continuous improvement and empowering professionals and agencies, so they can respond with confidence to safeguarding challenges.

“I joined the EQUISS team in October 2025 and am delighted to have been part of its development. Now EQUISS is operational, I am proud to work alongside our deeply committed team who bring both expertise and compassion to their work. It is clear how many issues remain hidden within the equestrian world and this is a compelling opportunity to support victim-survivors and bring about real change in the industry.”
