EQUISS Cookie Policy
Last updated: 09/09/2026
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how EQUISS CIC ("EQUISS", "we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website.
It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information.
EQUISS is committed to being transparent about the information we collect online and giving you meaningful control over how your data is used.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function effectively, improve user experience, remember preferences and provide information about how a website is used.
Cookies may be:
Session cookies
Temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser.
Persistent cookies
Cookies that remain on your device until they expire or are deleted.
We may also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags and local storage technologies, which work in a similar way to cookies.
3. How we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for a number of reasons, including to:
• Ensure our website functions properly
• Keep the website secure
• Remember your preferences
• Enable secure member registration, login and access to members-only areas
• Understand how visitors use our website
• Improve website performance and user experience
• Measure the effectiveness of our communications and campaigns
• Help us understand demand for our services and resources
We do not use cookies to identify you personally unless this is necessary for a specific service and you have provided consent where required.
4. Types of cookies we use
4.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies and similar technologies are essential for the operation, security and functionality of our website.
They may be used to:
• Remember your cookie preferences
• Maintain website security
• Enable form submissions
• Support website navigation
• Prevent fraudulent or malicious activity
• Enable secure member registration, login and access to members-only areas
Member login and Supporter Hub
Our Supporter Hub uses Memberstack to provide secure member registration, login and access to members-only content.
Memberstack uses browser storage technology to maintain a member's authenticated session and enable the Supporter Hub to function correctly. By default, Memberstack stores authentication information using local storage in the user's browser rather than cookies.
This storage is strictly necessary for the operation of the Supporter Hub. It is not used by EQUISS for advertising, behavioural tracking or analytics.
Because these cookies and similar technologies are necessary for the website and Supporter Hub to function, they cannot be switched off through our cookie preference tools.
Legal basis: Legitimate Interests
4.2 Analytics and Performance Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website by collecting information such as:
• Pages viewed
• Time spent on pages
• Navigation paths
• Website performance
• Error messages or technical issues
Analytics information is generally collected in an aggregated form and is not used to identify you directly.
We currently use the following analytics tools (where enabled with your consent):
• Google Analytics
• Microsoft Clarity
Legal basis: Consent
These cookies will only be placed after you have chosen to accept analytics cookies through our cookie banner.
4.3 Functional Cookies
Functional cookies allow our website to remember choices and preferences that improve your experience.
These may include:
• Accessibility preferences
• Language preferences
• Region settings
• Form preferences
These cookies help us provide a more personalised and accessible experience.
Legal basis: Consent (unless strictly necessary)
4.4 Marketing and Campaign Cookies
Where we use marketing cookies, they help us understand the effectiveness of our communications, campaigns and digital advertising.
Depending on the services in use, these cookies may:
• Measure campaign performance
• Track visits from advertising or social media platforms
• Help us understand which communications are most effective
We currently use the following marketing technologies (where enabled with your consent):
• Meta Pixel
• LinkedIn Insight Tag
• Google Ads Conversion Tracking
EQUISS does not sell your personal information to third parties.
Legal basis: Consent
These cookies will only be placed after you have chosen to accept marketing cookies through our cookie banner.
5. Third-Party Cookies and Technologies
Some cookies and similar technologies may be placed or operated by trusted third-party providers whose services we use to operate and improve our website.
These providers may include:
• Website hosting providers
• Member registration and authentication providers
• Analytics providers
• Embedded video or media providers
• Social media platforms
• Customer relationship management systems
• Email and marketing platforms
Third-party providers are responsible for their own privacy and cookie practices. We encourage you to review their privacy notices for further information.
6. Managing your cookie preferences
When you first visit our website, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner that allows you to:
• Accept all cookies
• Reject all non-essential cookies
• Manage your preferences by cookie category
Non-essential cookies will not be placed on your device unless you choose to accept them.
You can review or change your cookie preferences at any time by selecting the cookie settings icon available on our website.
Your decision will not affect your ability to access support, information or services through EQUISS. However, strictly necessary technologies required for particular website functions, such as logging into the Supporter Hub, will remain active when those functions are used.
7. Browser controls
Most web browsers allow you to manage cookies and other website storage through browser settings.
You can usually:
• View cookies and website data stored on your device
• Delete cookies and website data
• Block cookies
• Configure preferences for individual websites
Please note that disabling or deleting strictly necessary cookies or browser storage may affect the functionality of some parts of the website, including your ability to remain logged into the Supporter Hub.
Browser guidance is available from:
• Google Chrome Help Centre
• Microsoft Edge Support
• Mozilla Firefox Support
• Apple Safari Support
8. Do Not Track signals
Some web browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting.
At present, there is no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. We therefore do not currently respond to DNT browser settings but continue to offer cookie controls and consent options through our cookie management tools.
9. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legislation, technology, website functionality or our data practices.
Any updates will be published on this page and the "Last Updated" date will be amended accordingly.
Where appropriate, we will notify users of significant changes.
