You don't need to run a marathon or organise a huge event to make a difference.

Whether you raise £20 or £2,000, every pound helps EQUISS provide independent support, challenge harmful behaviours and create a safer equestrian community.

Whether you're based at a busy competition yard, a local riding school or simply want to get friends and family involved, there are countless ways to support EQUISS.

Here are some ideas to get you started.

Give yourself a challenge

#EyesUp Ride Together - Organise a group hack or ride and encourage sponsorship while raising awareness of safer equestrian environments

Ride for Respect - A sponsored ride celebrating respect, inclusion and safer sport.

Sponsored Ride - Set yourself a mileage goal over a week, month or season and ask friends to sponsor your challenge.

Rideathon - Challenge yourself to ride every day for a month or complete a set number of schooling sessions.

Charity Clear Round - Host a relaxed clear round with an entry donation going to EQUISS. Offer rosettes, prizes donated by local businesses or refreshments to make it a great community day.

Dressage or Show jumping Challenge - Set a personal goal, such as improving your score or jumping a new height, and invite supporters to sponsor your progress.

Take on the Mary Towneley Loop - Challenge yourself to complete the famous 47-mile Mary Towneley Loop, either individually, as a relay team or alongside a group of riders. Collect sponsorship for every mile and enjoy the opportunity to meet fellow equestrians along the route. Whether you complete it over a weekend or several days, it's a memorable fundraising challenge with a real sense of achievement.

At the yard

Horse wash fundraiser - Offer a horse washing service at your yard, with volunteers bathing and grooming horses in exchange for a donation to EQUISS. It's a simple way to raise funds while giving fellow liveries a helping hand.

Tip for Tack - Gather a team of volunteers to clean saddles, bridles and tack for other riders in return for a donation. It's an easy fundraiser that makes a real difference to busy horse owners.

Guess the Horse's Birthday - A fun fundraising game that's perfect for shows or yard events.

Tack sale - Ask liveries to donate unwanted tack and equipment, with proceeds supporting EQUISS.

Bake sale - Perfect alongside competitions, clinics or pony club activities.

Charity raffle - Ask local businesses to donate prizes and sell raffle tickets throughout the day.

Big ideas

Coffee, cake and conversation -Invite your yard, riding club or friends together for coffee, homemade cake and good conversation, asking guests to make a donation to EQUISS. It's a simple, welcoming way to raise funds while bringing your community together.

Auction of Promises - Instead of auctioning physical prizes, ask supporters and local businesses to donate their skills, experiences or services. From riding lessons and clipping services to restaurant meals, gardening, photography or spa vouchers, every winning bid helps support EQUISS while showcasing the generosity of your community.

Could you host a ball or gala? - Bring your local equestrian community together for an unforgettable evening of fundraising. Sell tickets for a dinner, live music, guest speaker or entertainment, then boost your fundraising with a raffle, silent auction or live auction. Local businesses are often happy to donate prizes or sponsor the event, making it a fantastic opportunity to raise both funds and awareness for EQUISS.

Celebrate a special occasion - Turn a special occasion into an opportunity to support EQUISS. Whether it's your birthday, wedding, anniversary, Christmas or another milestone, ask friends and family to make a donation instead of buying gifts. It's a meaningful way to celebrate while helping create a safer equestrian community.
